Das Common Criteria Schutzprofil für „Mobile Device Management - Trusted Server (MDM-TS)“ beschreibt als EVG-Typ den Server-Teil einer Mobile Device Management-Lösung. MDM umfasst die zentrale Verwaltung von mobilen Geräten wie Smartphones, Tablets und Notebooks innerhalb eines Unternehmensnetzwerks. Es stellt somit einen wesentlichen Bestandteil von Enterprise-Mobility-Management (EMM) und Unified-Endpoint-Management-Systemen (UEM) dar.
Der Zweck eines MDM ist es, die Sicherheit und Funktionalität mobiler Geräte gemäß den Unternehmensrichtlinien zu gewährleisten, aber auch das Unternehmensnetzwerk vor unberechtigtem Zugriff zu schützen.
The Common Criteria Protection Profile Mobile Device Management – Trusted Server (MDM-TS) describes as TOE type the server part of a mobile device management solution. MDM is the centralized management of mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, and notebooks within a corporate network. It therefore represents an essential part of Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) and Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) systems.
The purpose of an MDM is to ensure the security and functionality of mobile devices in accordance with corporate policies, but also to protect the corporate network from unauthorized access.
