Der Evaluierungsgegenstand (EVG) des Schutzprofils ist ein Sicherheitsmodul, das für den Einbau in einem sogenannnten Smart Meter Gateway vorgesehen ist. Das Sicherheitsmodul besteht aus Hard- und Software und stellt zentrale kryptografische Funktionen und einen sicheren Speicher für Schlüsselmaterial für das Smart Meter Gateway zur Verfügung.
The Target of Evaluation (TOE) that is described in this PP is a Security Module intended to be integrated in a so-called Smart Meter Gateway. The Security Module is an electronic unit comprising hardware and software that provides central cryptographic services and secure storage for key material for the Smart Meter Gateway.
