Schutzprofil / Protection Profile
Das Schutzprofil "Mobile Synchronisation Services Protection Profile (MSS PP), Version 1.1" wurde im Auftrag des Bundesministerium des Innern erstellt und spezifiziert Sicherheitsanforderungen für "Mobile Synchronisation Service (MSS)" Systeme. Der Zweck eines solchen MSS ist die zur Verfügungstellung eines sicheren Fernzugriffes eines mobilen Nutzers, der ein Handheld (z. B. einen PDA) benutzt, auf E-Mail- oder PIM-Dienste (PIM=personal information management), die sich in einem Firmen-Intranet befinden. Um diesen Fernzugriff zu ermöglichen, integriert, konfiguriert und betreibt eine solche Firma einen "Mobile Synchronisation Service" als Teil ihrer IT-Infrastruktur. Das MSS System stellt dabei sicher, dass E-Mails und PIM-Daten auf sichere Art und Weise zwischen dem E-Mail- und PIM-Server der Firma auf der einen und dem Handheld des Benutzers auf der anderen Seite ausgetauscht werden können.
The "Mobile Synchronisation Services Protection Profile (MSS PP), Version 1.1" is established on behalf of the Bundesministerium des Innern and specifies information security requirements for Mobile Synchronisation Service (MSS) systems. The purpose of such a system is to provide a secure remote access of Mobile Users using a handheld (e.g. PDA) to e-mail or PIM (personal information management) services located in a company’s intranet. In order to provide this kind of remote access the company integrates, configures and operates a Mobile Synchronisation Service as part of its IT infrastructure. The MSS ensures that e-mail and PIM data can be securely synchronised between the company’s e-mail or PIM server and the user’s handheld.
Dieses Schutzprofil steht nur noch in besonderen Einzelfällen für neue Zertifizierungsverfahren zur Verfügung. Es wurde durch eine aktualisierte Version BSI-CC-PP-0048-2009 ersetzt.
New product certifications can use this Protection Profile only in specific cases. An updated version BSI-CC-PP-0048-2009 is available.
