Sicherheitsvorgaben / Security Target
Der Evaluationsgegenstand (EVG), der M7791 Microcontroller, ist ein Smart Card IC (Security Controller). Der IC ist für einen Einsatz in Smart Cards für vorzugsweise sicherheitsrelevante Applikationen vorgesehen. Der EVG wird in Dresden in 90 nm CMOS-Technologie hergestellt, wird bezeichnet mit M7791 und ist intern registriert unter dem Entwicklungscode B12. Der TOE bietet die folgenden Sicherheitsmerkmale:
- Nicht-Standard CPU mit MMU (Memory Management Unit) und MED (Memory Encryption/Decryption Unit)
- I2-shield zum Schutz sicherheitskritischer Signale
- Symmetrischer kryptographischer Koprozessor zur Unterstützung von AES und 3DES (optional)
- Kryptographische Bibliothek für 3DES und AES Berechnungen (optional)
- Hardware Zufallszahlengenerator
Die Security IC Embedded Software ist kein Bestandteil des TOE.
The target of evaluation (TOE), the M7791 microcontroller is a smartcard integrated circuit meeting high requirements in terms of performance and security. The IC is intended to be used in smart cards for particularly security-relevant applications. The TOE is manufactured in Dresden in 90 nm CMOS technology, named and internally registered under the development code B12. As security features it provides:
- non-standard CPU approach with MMU (Memory Management Unit) and MED (Memory Encryption/Decryption Unit),
- I2-shield for enhanced protection of security critical signals,
- symmetric cryptographic coprocessor supporting AES and 3DES (optional),
- Cryptographic library for 3DES and AES computations (optional) and
- a true random number generator, which can be used as a security service to the user and for internal purpose.
The Smartcard Embedded Software is not part of the TOE.
