Der EVG ist ein kombinierter EVG bestehend aus:
- dem Betriebssystem “IBM z/OS Version 1 Release 10 (z/OS V1R10)”, inclusive ResourceAccess Control Facility (RACF) als evaluierte Platform.
- der Datenbank “IBM DB2 Version 9.1 for z/OS” (DB2 9), die auf dieser Platform aufbaut.
Das DB2 v9.1 for z/OS Security Target setzt das z/OS Security Target ([ZOSST]) für IBM z/OSVersion 1 Release 10 auf. DB2 9 ist eine relationale Datenbank, die als Subsystem von z/OS operiert. DB2 ist als Set von Address Spaces und Utilities implementiert.

The Target of Evaluation (TOE) is a combined TOE, consisting of:
- The “IBM z/OS Version 1 Release 10 (z/OS V1R10)” operating system, including theResource Access Control Facility (RACF) which is used as the evaluated platform
- The “IBM DB2 Version 9.1 for z/OS” (DB2 9), which is built upon this platform
The DB2 v9.1 for z/OS Security Target ([ST]) builds on the z/OS Security Target [ZOSST], which refers to the evaluated “IBM z/OS Version 1 Release 10” operating system. DB2 9 is a relational database management system that operates as a subsystem of z/OS. DB2 is implemented by a set of address spaces plus a set of utilities.
