Der Evaluierungsgegenstand (EVG) ist ein Smartcard Integrated Circuit (IC mit Kontakten) mit „Smartcard Embedded Software“, bestehend aus der MICARDO V3.5 Betriebssystemplattform und der Applikation für die elektronische Gesundheitskarte (eHC Application). Die eHC Applikation des EVG basiert auf der MICARDO V3.5 Betriebssystemplattform. Der Zweck des EVGs ist die Nutzung innerhalb des deutschen elektronischen Gesundheitskartensystems. Insbesondere wurden die EVG-Plattform und seine technischen Funktionen sowie die beinhalteten integrierten Sicherheitsfunktionalitäten entworfen und entwickelt unter der Berücksichtigung der Spezifikationen, Standards und Anforderungen zur deutschen Gesundheitskarte.

The Target of Evaluation (TOE) is a Smartcard Integrated Circuit (IC with contacts) with Smartcard Embedded Software, consisting of the MICARDO V3.5 Operating System platform and the dedicated electronic Health Card Application (eHC Application) as intended to be used for the German Health Care System. The TOEs eHC Application is based on the MICARDO V3.5 Operating System platform. In particular, the TOE´s platform and its technical functionality and inherently integrated security features are designed and developed under consideration of the electronic Health Card (eHC) specifications, standards and requirements. The TOE is intended to be used as electronic Health Card (eHC) within the German Health Care System.
