Der Evaluationsgegenstand (EVG) ist sowohl das Betriebssystem AIX Versoin 7.1, der optionale IBM Virtual I/O Server (VIOS) Version 2.2, als auch ifixes, die mittels PRPQ P91209 ausgeliefert werden. AIX ist ein multi-user, multi-tasking Betriebssystem. Es ist kompatibel mit allen großen internationalen Standards für UNIX Systeme: POSIX, X/Open XPG4, SPEC 1170 und FIPS180-3.Es stellt eine Basis für unterschiedliche Anwendungen im Geschäfts- und Behördenumfeld bereit.AIX läuft auf diversen IBM Systemen, von Abteilungsservern bis hin zu Enterprise Systemen. AIXist auf logischen Partitionen (LPAR) betreibbar, sofern die Hardware dies zur Verfügung stellt.
The target of evaluation (TOE) is the AIX Version 7.1 operating system and the optional IBM Virtual I/O Server (VIOS) Version 2.2 including ifixes shipped as part of PRPQ P91209. AIX is a general purpose, multi-user, multi-tasking operating system. It is compliant with all major international standards for UNIX systems, such as the POSIX standards, X/Open XPG 4, Spec1170, and FIPS180-3. It provides a platform for a variety of applications in the governmentaland commercial environment. AIX is available on a broad range of computer systems from IBM, ranging from departmental servers to multi-processor enterprise servers, and is capable of running in an LPAR (Logical Partitioning) environment.
