Cyber Security²: Video Series on Smartphone Security:

[BILD]

As the federal cyber security authority, the Federal Office for Information Security is the first port of call for issues relating to IT and Internet security. The BSI can offer technical advice on some matters, but turns to outside support when it comes to questions of liability, legal contexts or specific requirements, for example.

In this first instalment of 'Cyber Security²', Peter Drescher from the BSI and Oliver Müller from the Consumer Association of North Rhine-Westphalia discuss (in German) how to use a smartphone securely. The experts answer the question 'do I need a backup?', for instance, and explain what warranty claims you are entitled to make if a manufacturer does not provide updates. They cover how secure fingerprint scanners are, as well as potential hidden costs.
