What is ViperSoftX?

ViperSoftX steals data from infected systems and especially targets cryptocurrency next to stealing passwords. The malware is able to redirect cryptocurrency transactions by replacing the target address in the clipboard or in input forms in the browser. After infection, the bot can also drop other malware and provide the attackers with full control over the infected system.

How did I get infected with ViperSoftX?

ViperSoftX is primarily distributed via cracked software and torrents. Running the supposedly legitimate software leads to infection.

What do I have to do now?

In order to remove ViperSoftX, it is recommended to scan the infected system with an antivirus program. In addition to the ViperSoftX infection, the malware installs a malicious browser extension, which also needs to be removed.
