What is Socks5Systemz?

Socks5Systemz is a botnet that allows the infected system to be used as a proxy. Access to the proxy network is sold by the attackers on Telegram. Infected systems can thus unwittingly become participants in criminal activities.

How did I get infected with Socks5Systemz?

Infections with Socks5Systemz are usually caused by previous infections with other malware such as Amadey or PrivateLoader, which in turn deliver further malware (such as Socks5Systemz).

What do I have to do now?
