What is PseudoManuscrypt?

PseudoManuscrypt steals data from infected systems and exfiltrates it. In addition, the malware provides the attacker with the ability to execute commands on the infected system and download additional files, by which they can take complete control of the system.

How did I get infected with PseudoManuscrypt?

PseudoManuscrypt is mainly spread via phishing. On specially set up websites, pirated versions of proprietary software are advertised, behind which, however, PseudoManuscrypt is hidden.

What do I have to do now?

Since PseudoManuscrypt embeds itself deeply in the system and disables antivirus programs, it may be necessary to reformat / reinstall the operating system.
