The requirements for auditors who are to audit the information network of a smart meter gateway administrator in accordance with TR-03109-6 .aredefined in the "Procedural Description for the Competence Assessment and Certification of Persons" [VB-Personen] and the associated document "Programme for the Competence Assessment and Certification of Persons" [Programme Personen]. The requirements listed there apply to all auditors, regardless of whether you work according to the basic protection approach or on the basis of the ISO/IEC 27001 standard.

Before starting an audit, the auditor must be certified with the BSI for the scope of TR-03109-6. To prepare for certification as a "Smart Meter Gateway Administration" auditor, interested auditors can register for a one-day workshop including examination using the application found below. If there are enough registrations, the specific dates will be announced to the applicants.
