Smart meter gateway administrators are responsible for the secure technical operation of intelligent measurement systems. This is why operations on the administrator side must fulfil minimum requirements in order to ensure information security. All market participants that perform the tasks of an administrator themselves or wish to offer such services to third parties are required to maintain a comparable level of information security. This in turn necessitates uniform organisational and technical requirements and measures that safeguard a minimum level of security on the administrator side, which are specified in Technical Guideline TR-03109-6.
