Alliance for Cyber Security

Practically every day brings new media reports of cyber attacks against business, government and society.

According to the 2017 Cyber Security Survey conducted by the Alliance for Cyber Security, almost 70 per cent of companies and other organisations in Germany had fallen victim to cyber attacks during the preceding two years. The attackers were successful in about half of these cases, while every second successful attack led to production or operational downtimes.

This trend is being exacerbated on the one hand by the ever-increasing networking of systems and devices. And on the other hand, attackers are becoming more and more professional, using increasingly sophisticated types of attack that are often difficult to detect and cannot be averted by traditional protection mechanisms such as virus scanners and firewalls.

Identifying cyber risks, implementing security measures

As a result of all this, companies need to be able to quickly adapt to the extremely dynamic threat landscape. It is vital for businesses to have up-to-date information, be able to pool knowledge and experience, and constantly build on their security expertise if they are to deal with cyber risks successfully.

The Federal Office for Information Security provides you with all this in the form of the Alliance for Cyber Security.
