The Federal Ministry of the Interior and Home Affairs (BMI) and the aviation security authorities of the Länder have jointly agreed on the principles published here. As an annex to the National Aviation Security Programme (NLSP), they enable the uniform implementation of the European requirements for cyber security in civil aviation, for the areas of passenger and baggage controls (§ 5 LuftSiG) and the security measures of airport operators (§ 8 LuftSiG), which lie within the area of responsibility of the BMI.

The publication of the documents on the websites of the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) is intended to improve the general accessibility of the documents and thus support the goal of strengthening information security.
