BSI-CI-RP-0021-2023 | Version 1.0 | Date 13.02.2023
for the protection of data classified „GEHEIM“
A data diode is a producttype located in the interface between two networks HUGH and LOW, which is used to prevent outflow of data from the network HIGH to the network LOW. A data diode ensures that only data from the network LOW can be transferred to the network HIGH, but connection attempts from the network HIGH towards the network LOW are not possible. Connection attempts from the network HIGH in the direction of the network LOW are blocked by the data diode.
