A hypervisor is an IT product that provides on a computer so-called "virtual machines" (VMs), in which entire operating systems and the applications running on them can execute as a guest system. A large number of virtual machines can run on the same physical IT system, with the allocation of physical resources to individual VMs being controlled by the hypervisor.
This Requirements Profile (AP) deals with the virtualization of entire hardware platforms on server systems and sets up security requirements that allow the processing of data of the VS-NfD classification in the virtual machines.
