With increasing digitisation and networking in public administration, the potential attack opportunities for cyber criminals and other attackers is also increasing. The threat landscape is also dynamic and tense in the area of administration. As the federal cyber security authority, the BSI supports public authorities and other public administration organisations in making digitisation secure. To this end, the BSI offers a range of services to review and increase cyber security in public authorities. The BSI provides support both in the area of prevention, for example through penetration tests and web checks, and after an acute security incident, such as through its services in the area of IT forensics. In addition, the BSI also provides support in the selection of a suitable and certified IT security service provider.
