ExPress Information Security Check (EPIC)
The ExPress Information Security Check (EPIC) is a web-based express check to assess the status of information security in an institution.
With the help of this online check, authorities and companies can quickly (approx. 10 to 15 minutes) and easily check all relevant aspects of information security which, based on experience, are often problematic. Afterwards, they receive an evaluation that indicates the need for optimisation in individual areas.
The check is based on extensive empirical values from the BSI's IS audit and is divided into 32 questions that are grouped into six topic areas (security management, organisation and personnel, infrastructure, IT systems, networks and applications).
Answering the questions is intended to raise awareness of the topic of information security and identify potential deficiencies.
