BSI minimum standard for videoconferencing services
Videoconferencing services have become an important part of the communication toolbox for collaboration between remote teams and are now an indispensable resource for use in day-to-day work. The wealth of functions they offer typically far exceeds mere sound and image transmission. As with any form of data communications, however, the use of videoconferencing services is also associated with information security risks that are further elevated by the complexity of these systems. This minimum standard therefore describes security requirements that help users in the Federal Administration ensure that videoconferencing services are used securely. The standard not only sets out the functional requirements for the service itself but also addresses design, planning, acquisition and operation, as well as requirements for users.
