The assured emission characteristics are no longer guaranteed in the event of follow-on modifications to devices processing classified information (second monitor, webcam, headset, etc.), of replacement of components (e.g. keyboard, monitor), or of modifications, repairs, or any other changes to the device itself or the emissions-tested components: processing of classified information (VS-VERTRAULICH or higher classifications) must then cease. To continue processing classified information on the modified device, a new emissions test is required (the appropriate survey measurement method or a new approval measurement, depending on the changes made).
