Mobile (portable) deployment of devices that process classified information is not regulated under the national zoning model in Germany as this model is set up for stationary deployment scenarios. A mobile deployment is applicable only if the device is operated at many different, frequently changing locations that cannot be predicted in advance. In this case, the BSI must examine the individual case and one of the organisational measures that fall under the above definition of a mobile deployment must be documented.
