Device Setup Manager
The Device Setup Manager Service (DsmSvc) is a service integrated in the Windows 10 Plug-and-Play infrastructure.In the context of the PnP technology, DsmSvc primarily functions as a distribution point, acting as a task scheduler that automates the installation and configuration of hardware devices and drivers, thus removing the need for manual intervention. However, DsmSvc is reliant on other components to perform tasks like data fetching, which are crucial for completing the automated processes.
This working package contains an overview of the Windows 10 PnP infrastructue and analysis of DsmSvc service.
