SiSyPHuS Win10: Application Compatibility Infrastructure

The Application Compatibility Infrastructure (ACI) is a technology used to ensure compatibility of existing software with new releases of the Windows operating system ecosystem. As Windows continues to evolve – to support new standards and technologies or to incorporate software fixes – changes may affect the existing application landscape. For instance, this could be the case when it is not possible to adapt applications to these changes. To ensure that these applications keep working in an updated ecosystem, Windows uses the ACI technology. This working package provides an overview to the ACI technology an explains the compatibility protocol.
