Citizens: manage an incident, report, inform, prevent

I am looking for current information about IT security threats.

The BSI provides information about current IT security threats on a variety of channels. At www.bsi.bund.de, for example, you will find up-to-date information presented in a way that is easy to understand, with numerous tips on to keeping your computer, your smartphone or even your smart home secure in a few simple steps. The BSI is also active on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, providing technical advice as well as news updates, videos, podcasts and useful information.

Subscribe to our ‘Stay Secure • Stay Informed’ newsletter, sent every 14 days by e-mail, to keep up to date with the most important security events that affect your IT devices. You can also access technical information on vulnerabilities in software products via our Bürger-CERT warning and information service.

If the BSI becomes aware of an active malware infection, it can advise those affected via the respective Internet provider. We explain how this works here.
