Saarbrücken Office
Since 14 June 2021, the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) has had a new location in Saarland.
The new office, located in Saarbrücken, will boost the close working relationship that already exists between the BSI and Region West even further. The Saarland site is set to offer 30 jobs, which will enable the BSI to do more work related to artificial intelligence (AI) and the security of AI systems. Artificial intelligence is a key driver of digitalisation, which makes it especially important for the BSI.
Thanks to the organisations, associations and companies based in the state, Saarland is already making globally recognised contributions to the areas of AI and IT security. Saarland’s geographical location also makes it an ideal place for engaging in dialogue with neighbouring European countries. The office plans on working closely with local partner organisations and those from nearby regions to actively shape cyber security in Germany and Europe as a whole.
