BSI Certification and Accreditation Regulation

Proof of information security through a BSI certificate or accreditation represents an important added value for companies and authorities as well as product manufacturers. The BSI Certification and Recognition Regulation (BSIZertV) regulates the procedure for issuing security certificates and accreditations by the BSI, in line with Section 9 of the BSI Act. Certificates can be issued for IT products or components, IT systems and protection profiles. Individuals can also be certified, as can BSI security service providers. Expert bodies can be recognised by the BSI if they meet the evaluation criteria.
